A T Guys Supports Open Library with Book Donation

As a company administered primarily by blind employees, we can appreciate and empathize with the struggles faced by blind and print-disabled individuals in obtaining high-quality and timely digital books in accessible formats. So we were thrilled to hear of the effort undertaken by Open Library, who recently announced an ambitious project to make the world's digital books accessible.
The Internet Archive is making its scanned digital books available to qualified members of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, the Federal program which provides books to individuals who are unable to read printed material. By doing this, they join programs including Bookshare, Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, and the NLS’s own Braille and Audio Reading Download program in offering a growing catalog of accessible digital books available to students, professionals, and bibliophiles alike.
To this end, we are proud to support the Internet Archive Book Drive, a project seeking 10,000 donated books which will be converted into accessible formats. A T Guys has submitted several titles to this effort, which will greatly enhance the availability of a wide variety of book titles. Interested persons can follow the simple instructions to submit their own works, which will be scanned by the Internet Archive. Financial contributions are also accepted.
A T Guys is thrilled to support the efforts of the Open Library, and salutes the growing list of companies and individuals working toward universal access to the world's books and information.
